ooc: This is carried over from the rs forum since they are practically dead. I am copying the whole story so far so just bear with me till I finish.
This is a quick summary and the last ten pages of the rp. Ask to join after.
SHORT SUMMARY:
Well pretty much Kitara left the palace and ended up running into Syn and the others. They found out this group was trying to bring Rowland back. They went to the cave and got into a fight, Draco came back to life. Turned out Rowland had already been back for a while. They stopped in an inn and met Kallen, Werewolf. They set off to ask Granlow for help, he refused and cut all ties with the Crystal Kingdom. They returned to the palace with the dragoons who Kitara convinced to come. They found a traitor and a Reaper in the palace, had a meeting about Rowland. Kitara did a spell and thinks Rowland might be hiding out in Granlow's castle then came up with a plan to find out if Rowland is really there. Right now they're trying to find other people to travel to Granlow's through secret passages.
AND THE PAGES:
Kitara waved her hand and gathered the supplies on the floor back into the box. She closed the box and left to take it back to her room. Draco stood up, his head in his hands. "You allright?" Syn asked. Draco just shrugged of the question. Opening the door wider for Drakan. Kitara walked back in and smiled at Drakan. "Sorry if it's a little small in here." she laughed. Drakan tried to smile, but still managed to pass off the face of a menacing dragon. "Ill manage, a twenty foot wingspan is a hinderance." Kitara looked at Draco. 'Wonder what happened at the grave?' Syn walked over to Kitara. "Seeing Gygax's tomb must have stirred up bad memories. I never knew why he stopped when he could have carried on and killed the dragon. Guess he blames himself." Kitara shook her head and looked away, not knowing what to say. She walked over and looked out the window silently. Draco walked past Drakan. "Let's have a council to discuss how we are going to get Rowland then?" He still sounded distant, but more focused on the job at hand. Kitara nodded. She sat down at her throne and told a guard to bring the council members back in. "We'll figure something out." As the members scuttled in, Draco helped Syn pull some chair from the side. They sat down while Drakan just lied down next to Draco. "Go on then empress..." Syn said. Kitara looked at Draco and Syn then shook her head. She looked at the members and took a deep breath. "It seems Granlow is helping Rowland hide out. I have reason to believe he is in Granlow's castle somewhere. By will or by force Granlow has joined our most dangerous enemy and we must put a stop to it." She looked over at Syn. "I want you to talk to the dragoons and make sure there are no spys." "Aye..." Syn said, turning round quickly. Drakan went with him, as it would be faster if he carried him. Draco leant forward on his chair, cluching his side. "Draco find some guards to scout out Granlow's castle as spies of our own." Kitara went on. She turned back to the council. "Gather all the troops. Once we locate Rowland we attack." she said firmly. "Any objections?" "Yes..." Draco stood up, still clutching at his stomach. "If you exhaust our troops on a siege at one of the most powerful castles in this land, what will happen when the demon army arrives?" Draco smiled. "Though it would have been worth risking if we were only against Granlow, you forget that we are fighting a Dragon Hybrid..." "That's why we're finding him first. We'll force our way in after we know exactly where he is." Kitara smiled slightly. "I intend to kill Rowland as soon as I see him, an army is not needed..." Draco replied. He could stand properly now. "Rowland doesn't need to hide, which is what makes the situation confusing..." Kitara looked at him, her face expressionless. As much as she loved Draco no one had questioned her infront of her council before. "Then what do you think we should do?" she asked emotionlessly. "I agree we should investigate Granlow's involvement with the demon army, though charging in is pointless. There is very much doubt that Rowland is even there. Send a small task force back and we can interrogate Granlow..." Draco let go of his side, standing tall now. "Magic doesn't lie Draco. Rowland is there." Kitara said lightly. Draco seemed to be taken back. "You are certain? You know what kind of monster he is. Magic is below his kind... Our kind." Draco turned away as he said this, as if comparing himself to Rowland made him sick. "If we go there and we are ambushed, then we lose hope..." Kitara looked at him flattly. "Are you questioning my skill with magic?" she asked softly, her voice bordering on a dangerous level. "I'm questioning Damien's teaching methods. Magic is a foolhardy study, mostly discovered through accident and mistake. Only at the turn of this century we have stopped using rune stones." Draco stepped forward. "I know that Rowland isn't there" Kitara glared at him. "Elfs don't need runes to cast magic. Some of us chose it as our living." she hissed. She then turned and walked swiftly out of the room without another word. Draco burst in the door after her. "Listen, I put magic aside. I know we need to go there but sending an army after someone that might not be there? I know this has been probably the worst years of your life but don't throw it away so easily!" Kitara turned and looked at him, tears running down her cheeks. "I wasn't going to risk my army or the dragoons. I was going to send a small group through the secret passages before we did anything else. I may have had a few horrible years but they haven't messed with my judgement." she said quickly, her voice thick with her emotions. She turned and started to walk away again, not wanting him to see her crying. Draco almost ran to catch up with her. "Don't... Cry. Your tears should not be for anyone..." Draco's head sank. "I know what you are trying to do, and It must be difficult..." Kitara looked at him again. "What am I trying to do Draco? Trying to keep my mother's legacy alive when I have no desire to? Trying to save the world from Rowland when I couldn't care less?" she whispered, her eyes empty and hopeless. Draco put his hands on her shoulders. "I never should have burdened you with this." He then turend round, punching the stone wall. When his hand went back to his side, a large dent could be seen. "I'm sorry, for everything. I don't want what happened to Gygax to happen to any of you..." Kitara put her own hand on his shoulder. "You didn't burden me with anything. I was brought into this the day my mother took me riding. I was brought into this the day I saw you and the others killing that dragon." she said softly. "You have nothing to be sorry to me for." "What about Gygax!" Draco span round so fast it knocked Kitara's shoulder off. "I dont know why I feel like this, I want it to stop..." Draco looked angry, angry at himself.
Kaelln had secretly followed Draco and Kitara. They were duking it out emotionally. "Ugh.." he whispered. He hated emotional conflicts.
He put his back to a shadaowed wall, within easy seeing and hearing distance of Kitara and Draco. Kitara looked at him in shock for a moment then shook her head. "Gygax chose his own fate Draco. He gave his life so you could live. As much as that angers you it was meant to happen. You couldn't have stopped it if you had tried. Stop beating yourself up over it." She took a step closer to him and took his face in her hands. "It'll all work out in the end." she whispered. "I owe him so much. I will stop this madness because If I don't, then his death would have been in vain..." Draco closed his eyes, trying to block out the repeating visions of Gygax's death. Kitara looked into his face silently. She knew it was the wrong time but she couldn't stop herself from moving forward and kissing him. Draco's mind went blank. All visions of Gygax dissappeared, his last words were blocked out. Draco felt no more pain in his scar. On instince, he put his arms around her. Kitara moved her hands and put her arms around his neck. She closed her eyes and leaned against him silently, all of her thoughts and feelings blocked for the time being.
Draco took a step back. "We... Have to go back I guess." He smiled. "We need to let the council know of our plans." Draco turned round, bumping into Syn as he left the room. "What were you up to?" Syn said, raising an eyebrow. "None of your buisness." Syn laughed. "Whatever, but there is something I need to talk to you about. You know Drakan? Well, he mentioned having a 20 foot wingspan. When I attacked that airship, he was only a foot longer than me." Draco looked confused. "So you mean he's growing, fast?" Kitara watched the two of them silently, not knowing what to say. "So maybe it's normal for dragons with elder blood..." Draco sighed. "Can't be bad..." They had arrived back in the main room, with the council members patiently waiting for an answer. "Your call..." Draco said quietly to Kitara.
